Salonul Fotografului Roman

About a month ago Marcel Eremia started a campaign of gathering photo prints from the graduates of the photography schools around Romania for a photography art exhibit that would express the identity of the romanian photographer. When I first found out about this initiative I was surprised that someone would have the power to do something like this in Romania. Basically he asked the photography schools to represent themselves with the best photographs made by their graduates. He gave a limited number of prints for each school, depending on criteria like the number of graduates or the history of the school.

My photography school got 4 prints and one of them was my print. I managed to participated with a photograph from a photo shoot that I made with Simona Moon on one of the forgotten forests in Dobrogrea. The name of the print is “My teddy Bear” and you’re about to see why is named this way.

One of the best parts was that he managed to make the exhibit at the Constantin Brancusi Art Gallery from the House of Parliament, one the most known buildings in the world.

Me and my GMB Computers Photography School colleagues managed to get to the opening of the exhibit. I photographed the event on Kodak Portra 160 ISO roll of film with my Pracktica MTL5 and a Pentacon 50mm 1.8 lens.

I hope you will enjoy the photos and if you are interested in the exhibit you can see the 160 prints at Constantin Brancusi Art Gallery from the House of Parliament in Bucharest until 27th of March!

P.S. Special thanks to GMB Computers Photography School for participating, to Marcel Eremia for the amazing event that he organized and to AME Design for the fabulous prints!
